PDFE 12

o   Explain the types of extrinsic feedback: KR and KP

KR feedback: feedback provided only if asked for

KP feedback: feedback provided for every attempts
o   Summarize what took place in your lab (partner, task, results, etc)

My partner was Kara, and we both performed the task of being blindfolded and trying to "hit the line" with our pencils.  Kara got feedback each time, while I requested it.  The results did vary per person.  Kara was able to hit the line more than I was able to, probably because she was able to get feedback every time.  I only requested feedback six times, and this reflected with me only hitting the line twice.  So from our results, it can be inferred that having KR feedback will allow a performer to hit their target more often.
How many times was KR requested in the self-requested condition?

Six times

o   Evaluate whether providing KR every attempt or only when requested worked better
When KR was provided everytime, then the performer was able to hit the line better.  This is because they can match movement to results easier.

Did the results matched your expectations based on the lab/chapter readings?  Why?
Yes, the results matched my expectations because it makes sense that constant feedback will help performers make decisions more consistently and correctly.

What other factors could have influenced these results?
Natural ability, variation of experiment.
